Since my childhood years, I loved school camps and treasure hunts with the old compass and map.

Unfortunately that was nearly 30 years ago and would like to get into it but since I'm a bit of a techo, thought I would try the sport of Geocaching again.

Only problem is that I dont enjoy reading manuals, and would like a crash cource in Geocaching.

Are there any clubs around in the Peninsula region or do the members meet often?

I would love to join a hunt and be shown first hand about setting coordinates, using the GPS etc.....

Can anyone help.....

cheers

you forget that australia has many peninsulas. you are probably better off giving a little more detail. however there aren't "clubs" that i'm aware of.

best bet to get the attention of australians is to visit

http://forum.geocaching.com.au/

Also visit these

http://www.geocaching.com/faq/

http://www.geocaching.com/about/finding.aspx

http://www.geocaching.com/about/hiding.aspx

Anyway have a browse of both these and the australian forums and you should get all the info you need

Might see you out there some time

Matt
