I read the description and rather than finding the actual mark it appears as though you found one of the oldest known "Witness Post"! This witness post has become the defacto mark it appears since the actuall mark is in the middle of the creek. An excellent find! Especially when it is something out of the ordinary. This is what makes hunting benchmarks so much fun for us. I think you need to get in touch with Dusty Jackets and see if he would like some "Witness post/benchmark" pictures for his site.
