"turn" Data Field

One of the data field on the 60cs is called "turn". In the manual it says it tells you the distance to and direction of your next turn (left or right) when following a route.

However, when using it, it displays number is degrees and an L or R. Anybody know what this means?

It is basically a numerical indication of the direction arrow. It tells you to which way to turn and how many degrees so that you are heading directly toward your waypoint. I don't see where it says distance, just direction.

 

I like to use it because I can tell when the waypoint is directly right or left of me, telling me it is time to turn onto another road. In a field I will use it to fine tune my heading.

Thanks. That is not really what it says in the manual. It says: " Turn-the direction of, and distance to, the next turn on an active route."

I have not tried it with a route. I will have to look at the manual again and see what it says. I assume that it would only show direction and you would have to have distance in another data field.
