+Been There Bears
I am about to make a new GPS purchase (once I finally pick one). Considering buying from OFFROUTE.COM. Seems to have pretty low prices, and supports Geocaching.com financially. QUESTION: Has anyone had any negative experiences ordering/customer service from them? THX! Quote Link to comment
+sindigo
Hi, I ordered my Meridian Platinum from them nearly a year ago and had good service. They promptly shipped my goods and I received it when promised. Just my $.02 worth. Sindigo Quote Link to comment
+Prairie Dog
I've never ordered from them, but their prices look competitive. Web site is professionally done and it has good navigation. I would order my next GPS from them. Quote Link to comment
apogee
I ordered an eTrex Legend and Metroguide from offroute. The GPSr came with the latest firmware and had no defects. However, offroute sent me the following email. The MapSource Metroguide is out of stock. Unfortunately, Garmin is also out of stock on this product. Garmin has told us the software should beavailable in the next two weeks. I waited two weeks, asked again and got the same story. It would be another two weeks before Garmin started shipping. Because I needed map software for an imminent trip, I emailed Garmin to get its current status. Garmin replied I'm not sure which distributor you aretalking to, but we currently have MetroGuide in stock and available at the following link... I ordered it from a discount retailer (who also had plenty in stock). Don't know if offroute just had a communication problem or they were giving me the runaround, but it tarnished my experience with them. Edited April 29, 2004 by apogee Quote Link to comment
+webscouter.
I ordered a GPS60cd and a Kestrel 3000 from them. No problems here. The Kestrel was on backorder but Offroute was very good sending me e-mails about the delay. Quote Link to comment
