mloser
That is a great find! And to think I ALMOST went to the aquarium when I was in Seattle in March. That is a great mark, and it obviously took someone time to do it. It is sort of an inside joke too, because only surveyors and their ilk would even get it! Quote Link to comment

+blindleader
only surveyors and their ilk would even get it! You got that right. And only we would even find this stuff. More than twenty years after my last surveying job, I still point out to my friends things they are oblivious to, even when they walk on them. Monuments, witness stakes, bench marks, triangulation points, property corners, brush lines, etc, etc. Maybe that's why they think I'm odd. Quote Link to comment
+happycycler
Sounds completely normal to me blindleader! And I am not a surveyer -- just a benchmark hunter. Quote Link to comment
+Kewaneh & Shark
That has got to be one of the funniest marks I've ever seen. I'm sure that many surveyors have thought of similar markings for points they were setting. I have. What makes it so funny is the absolute truthfulness of it. ...and the fact that it can be used with any datum. - Kewaneh Quote Link to comment
