City Navigator/city Select On 60c

Recommended Posts

You can only get City Select for the 60C. City Navigator is for the Street Pilots. They are great for city detail. I use both city select and Topo (normal not the parks large scale ones) and use Topo more overall since Cities tend to be easy to get around it.

If you will do more urban cacheing go for City Select, If more rural, Topo, if both, get both.

I don't think City Navigator is available for sale on it's own...it comes bundled with certain Garmin GPS units. City Select v5 will be what you are looking for if you wish to use auto-routing within the 60C(S) and for the most current street map data. Topo 24K concentrates only on certain areas such as National Parks and does not auto-route on the 60C(S). Be sure and check out the Garmin MapSource map viewer (upper right-hand area of the page) to see if the data you are looking for is in the MapSource product you are interested in.

why dont you use metroguide 4.01....i'm from the uk and have just returned from a vacation to the usa...using a 60c and mg 4.01 we travelled 2250 miles visiting arizona utah navada and new mexico...the software routed me to where i wanted to go with the 60c 'pop-up screens' working very well, even finding walmarts (for the wifes retail shopping therapy) was a simple affair...why pay for the expensive city selct/navigater when this software is ok ....
