JaneYoung
Hello My name is Jane Young and I am a writer working on an article for the Globe and Mail, Canada's national newspaper, based in Toronto. I am doing a feature on geocaching for the Travel section, and I am looking several experienced geocachers who wouldn't mind being interviewed for this article. The article will be running towards the end of May. Specifically, I am hoping to interview some people who: --have been geocaching for awhile --who have done alot of geocaching within Canada and also internationally --are planning an upcoming trip and plan to include some geocaching as part of the vacation --have some interesting stories to tell If you meet this criteria, and you have some time to speak to me about your geocaching experiences and why you enjoy it, I would love to hear from you. Please e-mail me at JYoung@GlobeandMail.ca and tell me a bit about your geocaching background and where you are located. Then I may try to arrange a time to interview you over the phone. Hope to hear from some of you, Jane Quote Link to comment
gm100guy
Maybe you could read the post above and do a story on why we can't place caches in our provincial parks in Ontario It is called Parks Ontario thread Edited April 28, 2004 by gm100guy Quote Link to comment
+Team Tigger International
Not really sure I/We have any 'interesting' stories to tell, we've been actively caching for a about a year, the only place I plan to travel to is Indiana to spend time with Star and 'international' would have to be Canada/USA for us to qualify. Maybe Hard Oiler would be a good choice? Wulf Maybe a bit of positive press would help with the Provincial parks issue? Quote Link to comment
+The Blue Quasar
I have sent my contact information to Jane Young. I have also invited her to join those that are able to attend the event cache at Cave Springs. The Blue Quasar Quote Link to comment
+Amazon Annie
Does Purple Fever know about this? It sounds like he'd be a great person, he fits the bill I believe. Quote Link to comment

Purple Fever
Thanks for the endorsement, Anne! Yes, I would be happy to help with this.... we started geocaching last February, and are still pretty active (I guess you could say 'very' active). We did quite a few caches in British Columbia last summer, including one at the top of Whistler. I also try to get as many as I can into my business trips - I have done a lot of caches in Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky and Michigan (among other states) this year. Lisa and I are also going to Africa (Zambia) in June and hope to do some in London on our daytime stopover on the way there, as well as one at Victoria Falls. I will send an e-mail in... +Keeper of Maps
Though I haven't done a lot of geocaching since my first attempt a couple of years ago, I have recently jumped back in with both feet. I sent her an email inviting her to accompany me when I drop a TB in a cache in Toronto later this week when I'm there on business. Quote Link to comment
+jeff-trex
I have been caching awhile I would like to help out with the interview. I have some interesting stories to tell. Have not done much international caching. But when ever I go somewhere I like to find caches nearby where I am staying. Let me know . Quote Link to comment
