I am interested in sacrificing one to make a hard wired power cord for my car, but I'm not sure if there are power wires hooked up to the GPS plug in this type of wire. Has anyone experimented like this, and know the answer? Obviously I'm trying to save a few bucks from buying the cigarette lighter cord, and snipping the lighter plug off the end...
