+maleki
Anybody have there hands on a Garmin Foretrex 201 yet. Garmin Foretrex 201 Looks like a must have geocaching tool. Just wondering how it's doing in real life situations. Also, it uses a rechargeable lithuim battery. Just wondering how easy it is to swap a battery - if possible. The Foretrex 101, due our soon uses AAA's. I think I'll wait to check it out. Garmin Foretrex 101 Quote Link to comment
+CLAcacher
I purchased the Foretrex about a month ago & it has helped me to log my first 10 caches. It works quite well & it's ability to be worn like a watch helps to free up your hands. I bought it for a bike trip that I was to go on & have used it to track mileage, average speed, etc. I love it!! Quote Link to comment
madone
CLAcacher, I am in the process of trying to decide bewteen the ForeTrex or ForeRunner for biking usage. What make you decide on the Trex? Quote Link to comment
+JeepCachr
I just ordered the trex because its based on the geko 201. The trex dropped the running and training features that the forerunner had in favor of the features that the geko 201 has which are similar to what most GPS's do. The forerunner had a lot of features that were different and specific to running or training. Quote Link to comment
