Spankster
Good morning, Team Spankster found what we think is a TB but it is not a "dog tag" type. It is a plastic butterfly and I would like to know how to log it or find out about it. It came from Austin,Tx. and is North bound. Spankster Quote Link to comment
+welch
Does it have instructions on it?(why do you think its a TB?) or is there an serial number of some sort? If it has a normal grounspeak serial number (those metal tags need not be attached), just use the number and log as normal. If its not a Groundspeak number, you'll have to find the tracking site and follow directions there for proper logging. Quote Link to comment
Spankster
It is a monarch butterfly. I went to their website but there is nothing about logging it there. It has a number and a name. Quote Link to comment
+bons
And the address of that website would be? Quote Link to comment

+Snoogans
Good morning, Team Spankster found what we think is a TB but it is not a "dog tag" type. It is a plastic butterfly and I would like to know how to log it or find out about it. It came from Austin,Tx. and is North bound. Spankster I found one of those too. The one I found was made of paper. (Same description: # & name) They were launched by an Austin area pet shop. They never replied to my email. I dropped mine in Northern California. +brad.32
One of the web pages there (http://www.bga.com/~pixel/butterfly/tags.htm) indicates that the tracking is done by email. The butterflies have a space for an email address on the back (the owner's). The owner keeps the records of the butterfly's movements based on the emails. Quote Link to comment
