dodgydaved
In the cache page for "The London Stone" there is a reference to the novel "London" by Edward Rutherford, a very good read for a spin on the history of London. Here is a quote from the Arrow softback edition of 1998, page 787. ""On the eve of November, the day when King James - the first of that name in England, the sixth in Scotland - was to open his English Parliament, it was discovered that a great CACHE of gunpowder had been hidden in the Palace of Westminster....." by a certain Guy Fawkes. We need to ask...... Containing gunpowder, contraband, who reviewed the cache ? Did they use an astrolabe to find it? Quote Link to comment
