spioradsaor Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 Well soon the easy pickings in the East will have dried up and you'll have to head west along the M8 for the caches on this side of the country. They are waiting for you ....hehehehehe Quote
Haggis Hunter Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 I'm getting there slowly but surely, Doing the Trossachs just now, but I do intend getting across to the West at some time. You are right they are drying up. Think you can come over here and plant a few. He He He He Quote
Firth of Forth Posted April 15, 2004 Posted April 15, 2004 The paltry few caches in Glasgow are on my to do list next week, when work takes me through there. Always good to be able to charge someone else for the miles, or at least make them tax deductible. Quote
Flyfishermanbob Posted April 16, 2004 Posted April 16, 2004 All Lothian cachers welcome ..you might need to purchase extra equipment ... called walking boots ...only teasing Quote

spioradsaor Posted April 19, 2004 Author Posted April 19, 2004 Whoooosh! just bringing this back Quote
Firth of Forth Posted April 20, 2004 Posted April 20, 2004 If I'm not mistaken, there appear to have been a lot of newcomers to the East coast/Edinburgh caches in the last month or so. Hopefully, they will all get the bug and start thinking about placing caches of their own during the summer. I imagine that Spior will be over to seek them, but we haven't seen FFB over this way yet. +spioradsaor Posted April 21, 2004 Author Posted April 21, 2004 I'll be there all right.......! They are all soooo easy....... .(kidding That sleepy hollow thing nearly did for me.) But then thats Pooter for you. The further West is the best....................except when you go East. Quote
Haggis Hunter Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 but we haven't seen FFB over this way yet. That's because he hasn't done any in the Lothian Region yet. his own words. Sorry Bob the Devil made me say it Quote

But then thats Pooter for you. The further West is the best....................except when you go East. Sleepy hollow was easy once you knew the co-ords were out. It was my first find and all I had was a map. And the grid that I gave, was then used for getting to it. Allright maybe I did have a little bit of help from SilverFox, but it was only a little . +spioradsaor Posted April 21, 2004 Author Posted April 21, 2004 I was there three times before I cottoned onto the fact. Its probably easier doing it without a map compass or GPSr Once i found it though it was real easy. The fact Id been searching 50 metres away on the other side of the track did my bonce in. Spior is staying commando from now on. FFB isnt allowed to go to Lothian cos he went out for a loaf once and ended up at a rugby international and then went missing for 4 days. Now hes only allowed out if his wee dug goes too. hehehehe I'm not sorry Bob......and I've changed the wheels on my wheelbarrow so you cant follow me to any more caches. Quote
Flyfishermanbob Posted April 22, 2004 Posted April 22, 2004 (edited) I would like to refute these libellous accusations which are being made!!! A… It was a pint of milk B….It was only 3 Days ! C… I have been to Lothian ----. well just !(Toot) Hahahahaha Promise promise promise I’ll be there just as soon as my entry visa comes through and I get the vaccinations . Ps and I was there recently ...£65 to watch the France Game !!! (0 -31) BUT ! You also better hurry up and get the Edinburgh caches done, before the congestion charges kick in . Don't want it being too expensive for you. Quote
spioradsaor Posted April 22, 2004 Author Posted April 22, 2004 Watch Out FFb will recruit Harvey Deputy Dawgs sidekick....then you'll need to run. Although personally I reckon you can always talk Harvey round with a bag of boneos. but then again maybe not But jings we,ve been goin east for ages........perhaps its the highlander in us..not scared toexplore Quote
