Guest Cold Chuck
Pardon me for I am a newbie. What is spoiler? Does the term reference to "creator of Geocaching" ? Im waiting for my first gps- eTrex Venture. Is it worth the money vs. gps12 or 12XL?? Thanks ------------------ Cold Chuck Quote Link to comment
Guest WaylandersMA
Cold Chuck, A "Spoiler" is a description that helps you find the cache. For example, if someone put in the web log, "I found it! After 2 hours I lifted the fake green log next to the white birch at the base of the one gnarled birch tree with the broken limb. " If you want to find the cache without any of these hints you stop at the warning on the cache page, "warning, may contain spoilers". You may also want to print out the "printer friendly" version (without looking), so if you come up dry on the hunt you can sit down and start reading. Ha ha ha, I needed a good laugh! I can see why you might conclude that after reading some of his posts. WaylandersMA explains it quite well however. Cheers, Donovan Govan. Guest Cold Chuck
Now, I've got it. Basically it takes away the good feeling of a hunt, eh. Thanks a bunch! ------------------ Cold Chuck Quote Link to comment

Guest Rocky
Re the eTrex vs the 12's, here in the Northeast many of the etrex users complain about loosing sat coverage in heavy tree cover. The 12's seem to do much better. Quote Link to comment
