+sddarkman619
I was in he desert today, near jacumba, and my pointer was so inaccurate, but my GF's was right on. at one point I was walking away from the cache and the pointer said I was walking towards it. then I locked onto it to test it out, and the pointer would erratically pointer in different directions, almost like spinning, for az while I felt like i was in the bermuda triangle. anyone else experience this wiht their GPS? the other day, one other thing happened, when I was off roading, the pointer would not point in the direction I was ggoing on the trail, but if I tilted the GPS to the side( I have a dash mount) it would point in the correct direction..... any thoughts/Ideas? I have dropped this unit once, and only once. Quote Link to comment
vagabond
No problems in the Long Beach Lakewood area. Nailed 30 caches between 5:45 am and 3:05 pm Quote Link to comment
+Faderaven
Did you calibrate your compass? I had this happen to me once and a calibration of the unit seemed to clear it up. Quote Link to comment
+Cadence
With my wife's Vista, every 3 or four trips it needs to be calibrated. It's less work and body flexing than the Magellan Hula, but it's better 'cause it makes you walk dizzy once done! OddTodd of Cadence Quote Link to comment
