Magellan 315

[RustyCache]

I have a Magellan 315. It only shows coordinates of hh.mm.mm, I see that all of the Cache locations are give in hh.mm.mmm will I still be able to cache hunt reliably with the 315. Please help.

You can go to the Magellan website and update your firmware to 3.15 version. That will give you the added level of precision... however, it shouldn't matter all that much... you can still get there using two decimal places.

 

I just updated my firmware, and downloaded the manual... which i think has changed from the older one.

You may not have to update your firmware. It might just be a SETUP issue. Go into the SETUP menu and see if you can change the setting. Also see the manual under "Selecting a coordinate system".

On start up, you can see the which version you have. I believe the v3.15 is worth the time to download and install. Do a search here under 315

You probably want to make sure that you have version 3.15 anyway. The fixed the problem with the auto-averaging. Now it only takes about .5 mph to break out and work.
