WeBeFour
You are stranded on Geocache Island. You will be rescued someday. For all intents and purposes, there are an unlimited number of caches. The island is abundant with food and fresh water. You are packing the new Gargellian 420 which is not only fully solar powered but also has an integrated MP3 player. Prior to your arrival the island was inhabited by "The Professor". Using coconut shells and palm fronds, he constructed a primitive Internet connection. Unfortunately, coconut shells and palm fronds yield a very limited bandwidth and duration. You may download only three songs. Which three songs would you download ? Quote Link to comment

+WhipArtist
I wouldn't. I'd use the bandwidth to try to contact someone who could get me the heck off of there and take me to New York so I could see Broadway shows. Failing that, I'd just grab Beethoven's 9th, and if I had bits left something by Tchaikovsky. Quote Link to comment
+Naefearjustbeer
Sweet Child of Mine - Guns N Roses Under the Bridge - Red Hot Chilli Peppers The Irish Rover - The Pogues Very difficult to narow it down but pretty much any song by any of the above artists would be good! Quote Link to comment
+Firefishe
I Don't Wanna Talk About Love by Nanci Griffith All Souls Night by Loreena McKennit Kagami no Dress (The Dressing Mirror) by Noriko Sakai Oh, and I'd learn to out-of-body travel during my obviously peaceful, tropical, desert island nights and get a message to someone by faking a haunting in my apartment, driving my roommate mad with inane telepathic punnery, and sending random images of the island to John Edward during one of his busier tapings of Crossing Over. ...oh, and did I mention not wanting to get back to 'civilization' altogether too quickly? +Johnnie Stalkers
Desert Island MP3s. New spin on an old concept. I would DL any 3 songs by Metallica. Their lawyers would promptly show up and arrest me. Thus, facilitating my rescue. Otherwise I would use the bandwidth to log my caches. The numbers are more important than being rescued. Edited April 4, 2004 by Johnnie Stalkers Quote Link to comment
WH
I wouldn't DL any songs out of fear of being sued by the recording companies. Quote Link to comment

+Team Lyons
I would DL three different tracks off of one of those "sounds of nature" cd's. All of them having something to do with surf crashing into the rocks to go with the whole island theme. Quote Link to comment
+Renegade Knight
I'd wait until a beautiful caching partner washed up on shore and down load her three songs. If she's not romanticaly inclined it's going to be one heck of a long stay on that island. Hedging my bet would be the way to go. Quote Link to comment

mishapman
What a great GPS tie-in to prevent the locking down of the thread for not being geocaching related. Simply put: What are your three favorite deserted island songs? To avoid lock down: Uh, yeah...waypoints...something something...MP3 GPSr...something...caches. Crazy what ya have to go through on here to ask a simple question. (laughs) My three songs? Don't need them. Can't hear them over the voices in my head once my medication runs out. I've already changed my mind (and one choice) once, but I think these are some pretty good tunes. Hey Idratherbehiking, I got to see Jeremy Camp (and Rebecca St. James and The Newsboys) on the Adoration Tour in February. What an awesome experience! If you get the chance to go, I highly recommend it. Paula Quote Link to comment
+Nuwati
I think I would post myself as a cache only to be tourned down by the approver because they are convinced that no one could possibly live there so there would be no one to maintain the cache.
