+wray_clan Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 Before you read on, be aware that a forum search was performed before the posting of this topic. The topic is: "What State Do You Live In?" (in case you didn't see the title for some strange, unknown reason) Just say what state you live in, after a while I'll probably tally it all up, and we'll see which state has the most people who geocache, or the state with the most people who post on the forums, or the state with the most people that post in this topic. This is a grand topic because it's an easy question that all can answer (even International Cachers can post their country and that will be equivalent to a state!) easily, and it boosts your post count as you provide valuable information to the topic! California.
+rusty_tlc Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 How about including where you live in your sig line? It might help clear up a lot of confusion in certain discussions, like what makes a good cache container.
+rusty_tlc Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 confusion Is that near Panic? Maybe closer to Alert.
dsandbro Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 Insanity, but I want to move to intoxication. I live in a town so small we don't have a town drunk, so we all take turns.
+briansnat Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 The geocaching capitol of the world, New Jersey.,
inventorjg Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 Florida (but on the west coast where people know how to vote!)
+wray_clan Posted March 31, 2004 Author Posted March 31, 2004 How about including where you live in your sig line? I followed your advice, because I thought it was a good idea. And I usually follow advice if I think that it's a good idea.
+Oneyedjack Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 Salina Kansas, It's not the end of the world but you can see it from here.

SBPhishy Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 CALIFORNIAAAAA!!!! CALIFORNIAAA!!!! (To the tune of that annoying theme song from "The OC".
+RichardMoore Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 When I read the title to this thread I knew what kind of answers you'd get. Perhaps you should have specified "state as defined by geo-political boundries" or some such. Anyway, my body lives in Ohio, but my mind is on it's own little world.
+Two Geeks and a GPS Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 Michigan GO BLUE!!! NIT baby! I would put that in my signature, but I am computer illiterate and can barely respond to this message. Took me months to get my "Yeti" picture up, I don't know how to make those cool little quotes at the end and I can't referance anybody else in my posts! So "state of confusion" may be a better place for me. Or state of "buffoonery" as the case may be!
Swagger Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 Sunny Southern California! I've had the top down on the Jeep for the last three days, enjoying the sunshine and 75-85 degree temps!
+clearpath Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 Kansas, but I claim Missouri as my home. Confussing, eh?
+greyhounder Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 I live currently in the state of perpetual poverty and despair, but I often vacation to the state of bliss! But I call Wisconsin home! Bec
+geckoee Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 (edited) On moral grounds, I propose this question be boycotted. For the people not represented in the forum, I will not answer the question. For the cachers that feel their country is equivalent to a country, and not a state, I will not post. For all the underrepresented non-English speaking cachers, I will not post my state. . . but it is in my profile if you want to dig it out Really, I’m just kidding around here. This was meant to be a serious joke. edit: You know... these are real points, and maybe they should be mentioned. Let me just say that for various reasons the results of this pole of the location of cachers is probably very biased. Edited March 31, 2004 by geckoee

+New England n00b Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 I moved to the arm pit of America about 10 yrs ago. Really, though GA isnt too bad I guess As a former New Jerseyen, I resent your co-opting of my birth states' national status! Everyone knows NJ is the armpit of the nation. And NYC is the nasty sweat gland. On a serious note, I live in despair.
