fosterbass
I can be there on the 17th, but if it rains, it's not likely I'll be there the next day. Quote Link to comment
Planet
I plan on being there! Trashing out can sometimes be profitable. See my log on the event page. Quote Link to comment
bob393
I'm definitely putting it on the calender, I missed last years! Quote Link to comment
Ttepee
Count me in! Have to see what the baseball schedule looks like by then but I'll be there somehow someway! Hope you get a nicer day this year. Quote Link to comment
HartClimbs
This looks like it'll be a great time, but I don't think I'll be able to make it. Good luck (and it's a good thing everyone's doing - thanks for organizing it Harrald!). Quote Link to comment
Team DEMP
It's opening day for the town softball so we'll try to make it up there after the parade and before the game Quote Link to comment
Planet
Bumpety bump bump..........................I can't wait to see you NJ cachers again. Last weekend was great! And this is Harriman! Lots of caches nearby. Edited April 5, 2004 by Planet Quote Link to comment
fosterbass
Is this a child-friendly CITO? I've never been to that part of the park. Quote Link to comment
Harrald
Is this a child-friendly CITO? I've never been to that part of the park. Yes it is. There are about 5 trailheads that start from there. The parking lot is large and a good place for kids to help clean. There are 2 lakes attatched to the lot. Last year we had three people just removing trash from the lakes with poles and long sticks. +Cloudchaser
I'll be there Saturday, but wouldn't be able to make it Sunday. Quote Link to comment
briansnat
Can't make either...unless you'll be there after 1:00 on Sat. Quote Link to comment
Team DEMP
Is it opening day of little league baseball and softball for anyone with younger kids? I know we have the parade in the morning and a game in the afternoon so we'll try to get there in between them. It would actually be better if it rained Sat and we had the event on Sunday - nothing planned for us. If everyone else has opening day, maybe next years event should be a weekend or two earlier in the year? David Quote Link to comment
Harrald
Last year one of the attendees brought an old ski pole. It worked great for removing bottles from the lakes. If anyone happens to have one or two maybe they could bring them along. Quote Link to comment
MissJenn
Are there any trout in these waters, Harrald? Quote Link to comment
briansnat
They be trout. Lake Skanatati was stocked with 460 brown trout between 8 - 9 inches. Lake Askoti was stocked with 300 8-9 inch browns and 100 12-15 inch browns. Not sure if either lake has a population of holdover trout or not. Quote Link to comment
PizzaPizza
The weather is supposed to be beautiful. I'll be there .. and will bring a couple of looooong ski poles. SInce I have never met any of you, I'm assuming it will be pretty obvious which group is the geocachers? Asking that question brings up pictures in my head of 20 people staring at their GPSr's walking in circles in an open field looking for each other. Quote Link to comment

Look for the group of people that everyone else is avoiding! That, plus a lot of CITO t-shirts. Quote Link to comment

Don't you mean pictures of people walking in circles in open fields staring at their GPSr's looking for trash? I am not buying a fishing license for one day, not -not - not well maybe! And Hart, Brian, darn you guys! Quote Link to comment

Planet
I dragged Mopar out for a hike up Sleeping Giant today and the dress code seems to be T-shirts and Shorts, with back up layers handy! Quote Link to comment
Mopar
My arms, legs, and back are hurting...... I am covered with scratches from brush, and cuts from broken bottles poking thru bags........ With detours for traffic, spent close to 4hrs driving there and back, and 150 miles or more added to the odometer........ AND IT FEELS GREAT! Thanks to Harrald and everyone who showed up, we picked up a dumpster-full of trash and then some. Good work. Quote Link to comment
macatac1961
Thanks to Harrald and the rest of his CITO crew out there today. Nice meeting you folks. Great job. See you again. Quote Link to comment
