Seth!
I hope that I haven't been missing something for the past 2.5 years, but there doesn't seem to be a way to look up user profiles. The 'caches found by' search has been updated to take you to a hides option. That's cool. But sometimes I might want to look up the profile of someone who has never found or hidden a geocache. In this case, I'm hosed, right? So, what might be the likelihood of seeing a plain ol' profile look-up feature added some day? Link to comment
bons
http://www.geocaching.com/email/ Type in a name, such as "Seth!" Click "view profile". Thank the purple pony for that trick. Edited March 21, 2004 by bons Link to comment
Cacheola Crew
But sometimes I might want to look up the profile of someone who has never found or hidden a geocache. In this case, I'm hosed, right? I think why you aren't coming up with anything is that the majority of folks who haven't found or hidden a cache, don't actually register until they do. But if they do register, you should be able to see them by using the link Bon gave ya. Or you can look on your profile page and the link is there too. Cacheola Crew Mom Link to comment
Renegade Knight
Some people do create profiles and then dont' log finds or hide caches. Some create them while they are in lurk mode checking out the forums. Bon's nailed it though. Link to comment
Navdog
There is a link on your My Cache page also to look-up or email a member. Edited March 21, 2004 by Navdog Link to comment
travisl
http://www.geocaching.com/email/Type in a name, such as "Seth!" Click "view profile". Odd... I ego-searched for "travis", and while I found entries for "travis" (who never validated, but prevented me from getting that name), "travisl" (me!), and many other Travises, there's no "travisl2" (my sock puppet). Peculiar. Link to comment
Seth!
Oh! Thanks, Bons. This is why I post quetions here. I get answers! That's kind of a sneaky place to put the look-up, but it works! Link to comment
