+stu_and_sarah
We went on a maintenance trip round three of our caches today. One was fine, but at the second we discovered they'd felled loads of trees in the area, and identified the stump of 'our' tree. Sarah then pointed up the hill, and we found the 'real' 'our' tree and all was well. You now have about 3 trees to choose from instead of 15 in that spot so the cache has become a little easier. When we reached our third cache several miles away, it was definitely our tree which had been chopped. No sign of the cache at all. They've been removing any branches which overhang the canals. Unfortunately, our cache was hidden nice and close to the water by one of these overhanging branches. So, folks - if you use trees for your cover, you might want to check if they're still there! We're going to rehide our canal cache, but at a tree further back from the water. Quote Link to comment

So does that make it a "Cut Down Cache" then? Sorry, couldn't resist... MarkGPX Quote Link to comment
+Peztone
I've suffered at the hands of Tree fellers twice this week, on one of the cache pages the owners said they'd "taken a look at the site" but they didn't say they'd removed it.. which they had.. 2 hours wasted there then. mutter grumble. Rangers of Ithilien
"tree fellers" are you sure it was tree now , not two or four < stands by for kicking for Irish cachers > Working in a village where perhaps 90% of the population is made up of Irish 'lads' (of the male and female variety) has made me realise they would probably be the first to crack the joke! *files joke in memory for next available oppuritunity* Tiffany Quote Link to comment
