JordanDirgo
Am I the only person within 100 miles of my house that cares about finding benchmarks? I hope not... Quote Link to comment
+SeventhSon
I guess that would depend on where your house is There are a couple around here that have found several. I have found a couple in my home town, but they have already been logged on this site, so I didn't bother. Just did it because I was bored while visiting home. 7 Quote Link to comment
+bons
I'm within 100 miles and the concept of finding a benchmark under 3 feet of snow (worse when it was plowed off the street and onto the location) just didn't have a huge appeal to me over the past 3 months. Activity may kick up in a month or two. Quote Link to comment
+bigredmed
In my part of Omaha, the nearest two benchmarks are on the middle bridge support over I-680 at Pacific street and on a UP rail road bridge on the Lane Cut-off. The nice thing about caches in my area, is that, for the most part, they are in areas that won't get me jail time for looking for them, and they aren't going to get me killed walking there. +BlueDeuce
Well, so far I've only hunted as far over as Ames, Ia. so not quite within a 100 miles of you. My goal is to find a benchmark disc in every county in Iowa (99). Not everyone cares for benchmarks, but I'm having fun. Quote Link to comment
+carleenp
I didn't know you had an interest! I might be up for some benchmark hunting sometime, although I prefer caching. Looking at the map, I think there is one on the way to Cubby's that you could get on your bike. Look here. Quote Link to comment
