travisl
*sniff* I just archived the first cache I ever hid, Seeley Lake Baseball Cache. After more than a hundred visitors (probably closer to 200, counting all cachers and their family members), it's disappeared. The trail to the cache, which was barely visible two years ago and led to piles of ivy, now appears to be a heavily traveled clear path leading to a clearing. It'll take a few months to grow back, but it needs time to do so. At least Silly Old Bear is still around, which I hid the same day. Quote Link to comment
misguided one
Sorry to hear that Travis. If it makes you feel any better we're working on our next hide today and it should be submitted soon. Quote Link to comment
Criminal
That sucks. I put some good stuff in that one and I liked it. I wrote an open letter to poor cache re-hiders, it's around here somewhere.... (If that's what it was) Are you going to put out a new one in the park? That's easily within range of my lunch hour. +Sparky-Watts
May I suggest that you and your friends hold a wake to mourn the loss of your first cache? You never know what cache ideas could come from a drunken stupor! Quote Link to comment
Sparrowhawk
May I suggest that you and your friends hold a wake to mourn the loss of your first cache? If you were to hold a memorial, I am sure that the Patron Saint of Great Caches Past would be honored to help officiate the ceremony. Quote Link to comment
RomadPilot
Sorry to hear that Travis, Believe it or not, this was a cache that thwarted me on many occasions, it's amazing what can happen when you look on the right side of the tree! Will be looking forward to SLBC II Frank Quote Link to comment
