Mossy Oak
Does the owner of a cache have the ability to delete a posted find. I just noticed one of my finds have been removed? Quote Link to comment
+infosponge
Yes, they can delete a find. If they felt that you did not properly find the cache, or if your log entry contained spoilers, they can delete it. Usually a cache owner will contact you if this happens to explain. Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
They usually won't delete it if your log has a spoiler. They'll simply encrypt it. If it was deleted, the owner probably felt that that you didn't find the cache, or that you didn't conform to the rules of the cache. Quote Link to comment
Mossy Oak
My mistake, I just went back to the site and read the owners posting how to earn credit for the find. It is clearly stated, “only on find per player/team.” I was wrong; the owner had every right to remove the posting. I guess I should have read it a little closer. I’m glad the owner removed my second posting not the first one, I have a cool tank shot breaking through a wall at the Wright Museum, Wolfeboro NH. Check it out. Anyone know were a tank is displayed, check out TANKS FOR THE MEMORIES, http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=18037 My tank posting, cool shot http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cachelog_details.asp?ID=57372&L=382429 Quote Link to comment
