+GEO*Trailblazer 1
Well we all just went and cleaned up the planet anyway today it does not matter what the cost of gas is it was wellworth every gallon. It will be 4 years till we can log it on this date again. My Opinion. Top Companies you figure it out. 1. Petroleum(H-C) 2. Pharmaceuticals (H-C)+Sulfuric (Sulfa) or (HCL)Hydrochloric. 3.Minerals (Gold, silver, copper)by product Sulfurs,Hydrochlorides= acids. 4.Tecnologies,use the copper, silver and gold in their circuts. 5. Rail Roads, they deliver it all to the others. I worked in the Oil Fields all my life,my Dad before me and my Great Grand Father before him. It is one of the TOPCoorperations now. And yes they regulate it and have for GOD only knows how long. Those GRANDFATHERED LAWS. And it is what keeps the Nation Moving forward but the cost is getting rediculous. I got a Horse and I am gonna start using him more often. THAT WILL TEACH EM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL edit spelling Edited March 1, 2004 by GEO*Trailblazer 1 Quote Link to comment
+Shoknaw
This is a great thread. I don't understand how a guy that looks like Jabba the Hut, who's Granddaddy made his money moonshining can be looked upto to save the world. I suppose that's all water under THE bridge. What do tree huggers do for a living? I work at an oil refinery and know we run as much through as we safely are able day in and out. Oh yah I almost forgot to ask.... How much does gasoline cost now? I get mine for free. Shoknaw Quote Link to comment

+Blind Avocado
Allow me to elucidate for those of you in other countries who aren't sure what "liberals" means: Liberals care about the environment more than they care about people. Conservatives care about money more than they care about people. The people, on the other hand, just don't care. Edit: Where do you stand? Find out here. If you want a clear level-headed discription of what a liberal is, go here Quote Link to comment

+Shoknaw
Thanks Avocado I was concerned when I had the thought.... What if an intersecting North /West coordinate was deemed unfair buy some North/North coordinate. Now the East/East coordinates might chime in and raise a real fuss. Now only a few states allow such goings on but good heavens if a liberal was elected president it may become nationwide. Then my GPS wouldn’t work as it only knows how the traditional North/West coordinates work… I was afraid I might be leaning toward Liberal, but now I'm pretty sure I'm not. Oh yah...... I would use more gas trying to find an intersecting waypoint There, back on topic. Edited March 1, 2004 by shoknaw Quote Link to comment
+robert
I have two Suburbans...84 gallons will fill them both up Wimp. I'll still go caching. A few extra bucks is no big deal. Edited March 1, 2004 by mrkablooey Quote Link to comment
Swagger
My opinion ,tell the gas companies to 7^&^^#a**#$! off and ride your bicycle!Thats what i'm doing! If I didn't live 26 miles from work, I might consider that... I checked out my public transportation options, too. It would cost more than twice what I pay in gas to take the train. I'll stick to my car, thanks. Quote Link to comment
+SamLowrey
If you want a clear level-headed discription of what a liberal is, go here Not bad - except for what is implied about the ME. I wonder how many people that knock the Palestinians would hold the same views about the American Indians? Quote Link to comment
+bons
I knew I was in trouble when question #1 didn't make sense to me. "If economic globalisation is inevitable, it should primarily serve humanity rather than the interests of trans-national corporations." Agree or disagree. 1) Why is it a choice between humanity and corporations? When did it become impossible for a corporation to succeed by serving humanity? 2) I didn't realize economic globalisation could actually "serve" anything. I thought it was just a way of describing a phenonoma. Do thunderstorms serve anything? Do bird migrations serve humanity? Do they even care one way or the other? Then I get to question #2: "I'd always support my country, whether it was right or wrong." I thought if my country was wrong, that I would be supporting it by trying to set it right. When your children are wrong, don't you do the right thing by trying to set them straight while while letting them learn from their mistakes? Isn't that supportive behavior? This test makes no sense to me. (I suspect it's just me, but such is life.) Edited March 1, 2004 by bons Quote Link to comment
