southdeltan Posted February 23, 2004 Posted February 23, 2004 Will the Groundspeak store offer CITO merchandise this year? If I remember correctly there were T-shirts and logo'd trash bags last year for the CITO day. If I recall the T-shirts were fairly popular. southdeltan Quote
MissJenn Posted February 23, 2004 Posted February 23, 2004 In about 3 or 4 weeks, Cache In Trash Out products should be ready via the Links at http://www.cacheintrashout.org Each year we design a tee shirt for Cache In Trash Out Day, and provide low-cost CITO trash bags. Of course, any trash bag will do. Quote
southdeltan Posted February 23, 2004 Author Posted February 23, 2004 Thanks for the update. southdeltan Quote
The4DeeZ Posted February 25, 2004 Posted February 25, 2004 Does anyone know how much the merchandise will cost? I'm trying to figure out funding for the event here in San Diego and would like to get a jumpstart on the planning. thanks, 4DeeZ Dad Quote
trippy1976 Posted March 1, 2004 Posted March 1, 2004 Will we be able to place bulk orders and save on shipping again this year? If the shirts are along the same line as last year I think we'll need about 80. I'd rather the organization place the order and pay one shipping charge than each member place an individual order and pay shipping. I think last year it ended up being $40 for a big box of 70 shirts vs. $5 a shirt. Quote
hydee Posted March 2, 2004 Posted March 2, 2004 Will we be able to place bulk orders and save on shipping again this year? Yes, you will be able to bulk order again. We are still working out the details for CITO gear, we will have more information in the next week or so. Quote
trippy1976 Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 we want cee-toe! We want cee-toe! Any updates? I'd like to start compiling requests from our members. Not to be pushy Quote
CraZy Cache Posted March 16, 2004 Posted March 16, 2004 Only a month a way! Are we going to have CITO gear available? Quote
Cacheola Crew Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 This is cutting it close for getting group orders in. Is there a way you could just list what is coming and prices so we could at least start putting our groups orders together? IE: T-shirts (no need to know what they look like at this time, but would like to know the cost) Thanks! Cacheola Crew Mom Quote
TeamK-9 Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 Actually, for me, I'd rather see the design before I knew the cost. Basically, our group is just ordering whatever everyone wants, and then people pay for what they ordered at the event for whatever the total of their items were... Quote
hydee Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 Workin' on it.... I will post the t-shirt design this afternoon with the cost. We do plan to sell trash bags also, but I do not have that information available today. Quote
hydee Posted March 20, 2004 Posted March 20, 2004 The t-shirts will be $6.99 each. We will carry both Adult (S-3xl) and Youth (S-XL) sizes. Quote
carleenp Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 Are the t-shirts black and white or is that just to show the general design? Quote
MissJenn Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 They look to be dark green background with white design. Quote
hydee Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 They're here!!! They're here!!! Everyone look, they are finally here!! CITO T-shirt Quote
MissJenn Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 from the Weekly Cache Notification email: We'll also have bright yellow trash bags available 10-14 days beforethe official Cache In Trash Out day on April 17th. Quote
Harrald Posted March 25, 2004 Posted March 25, 2004 Thanks for the nifty looking shirts. I hope they sell out. Quote
southdeltan Posted March 26, 2004 Author Posted March 26, 2004 It says green, but it definetly looks black to me... must have my monitor set too dark... I have to say I'm disappointed it's a dark color The last thing I want to wear when it's over 95 F and 95% humidity (pretty much all of July and half of August) is a dark t-shirt I noticed the price is a bit higher, I guess that's due to the lack of sponsorship this year. On the upside, I like the design... southdeltan Quote
deltadawg Posted March 26, 2004 Posted March 26, 2004 hey can someone help me out with shipping, is it going to a shiping cost per shirt or can i get a bulk discount? and what are the costs? Quote
spyder8 Posted March 26, 2004 Posted March 26, 2004 this is great - and we were looking forward to getting the T-shirts - BUT - what's with the litte Signal the Frog - is this for a group of 8yr old girls !!! I wish the general logo was something that everyone could wear, and not have a problem - yeah, like a 14yr old boys group is gonna wear a frog ! I really like the logo from these folks - the "Got Signal" logo http://www.cafeshops.com/geocachingsig1 Quote
lowracer Posted March 26, 2004 Posted March 26, 2004 Tally up another vote for a light colored shirt - In Texas even in April the sun will bake you to a crisp in a dark shirt. Add another vote for an adult shirt without Signal the frog on it. Also, what is the material that the shirt is made from? 100% Cotton? Thanks, -mark. Quote
MissJenn Posted March 26, 2004 Posted March 26, 2004 Last year was a white shirt. This year is a dark shirt. I think it's a nice compromise. Quote
Wander Lost Posted March 26, 2004 Posted March 26, 2004 I placed my order last night!!!! I can't wait for them to arrive. Quote
Silver Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 (edited) I agree with Miss Jenn. I think a dark shirt this year is a nice compromise. I have quite a few white t-shirts I hate to throw away but will probably never wear again. I hate wearing something that looks like a white undershirt out in public. The dark green color works nicely here in Seattle. However, I've also lived in Florida and Mississippi and I know what a dark shirt does in the hot sun. I guess alternating light and dark designs each year works OK for me. Silver Edited March 28, 2004 by Silver Quote
TeamK-9 Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 I like the dark because it's a little more subtle. I mean, you're still getting the point across, but you don't quite stick out as much. But I guess it's not the color of the shirt really about last years, it's more or less (and no offense to the designer) but last year's shirts looked kinda dorky... Quote
Harrald Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 The shirts (and other stuff) we ordered arrived yesterday. The shirts are very nice looking. They are Dark green with white lettering. Nice job Groundspeak. Quote
sis Posted April 8, 2004 Posted April 8, 2004 my shirts arrived yesterday. a nice change. they are 100% preshrunk cotton. that should be good. sis Quote
TeamK-9 Posted April 8, 2004 Posted April 8, 2004 I just noticed those this morning, they're pretty spiffy... Quote
thestosh Posted April 9, 2004 Posted April 9, 2004 How much did the cost last year? It is a pitty they couldn't be made as cheaply as regular boxed trash bags. Oh well, you got to pay the printer. I guess I'll order 20 or so and place them at the front of the pile for the photo shoot at the end of the day... Quote
