Well, I can range in value depending on what I carry with me. My watch cost $260 about 5 years ago, but it has taken quite a beating over the years. My Vista is the one constant. Footwear ranges from my $200 Doc Martin's boots, to some $30 Vans sneakers. I have a lot of T shirts I got free from sales reps at my last job. Several jackets ranging in price from $200 all the way down to a free promotional gift. Sometimes I take the hiking stick. Sometimes I take the camera. I guess on a good day I could be worth $1000 or so. When I'm wearing my bum around the house clothes, excluding the vista I'd be worth about $50 fully dressed and shod.

The total amount of stuff attached to the Indian warrior in my avatar ... roughly $5 bucks.

An eagle feather's got to be worth a few bucks! And I bet that if you took a genuine Native American shield on the Antiques Roadshow you could pull in a few $$$.

Owning or carrying an eagle feather would cost you.... I believe its not legal to hold or carry unless you are a registered member of an Indian tribe..this would contribute to a minus value!!! :):)

Yeah and the fine :P if caught plucking :) the feather from an American Bald Eagle.

Wife: Priceless.

Friends: Priceless.

Dogs: Priceless.

All other gear compared to them: Worthless and replacable.

i like your line of thinking, but it makes me realize i'm a poor man. the experience is goes somewhere between the gear and the items you've listed, so at least i've got that!

Hmm, let's see......

These are my usual caching accessories:

Couple of Rocket Propelled Grenades, An UZI in each hand, Grenades on the belt, Flame Thrower, an AK47 or similar assault rifle, and a .45 auto on each hip.

Oh, and a few trade items!

Only kidding.....I don't know what all this would cost, but I'm sure it's alot!

HOLY CRAP...some of you paid WAY TOO MUCH for all your crap, er, I mean "gear". After looking at some of your lists, and what you paid, I'm gonna file you under "more money than sense."

In many cases, I have the EXACT same merchandise as you, but for roughly half the price. Do you have to work to pay premiums like that on your stuff?? Case in point: I noticed more than one person paid at least $400 for their Garmin Vista...mine was $235 on Amazon...WITH shipping. A buddy of mine almost crapped himself when he heard this, because he had just paid nearly as much for his Legend at a local electronics store.

I like nice stuff, too, people...I just don't like to overpay for it. Save some of that money, and use it to put better stuff in some of the crappy caches that only have mildewy stuffed trinkets.

:D
