+shunra Posted February 22, 2004 Posted February 22, 2004 I have a question about the 0.1 mile rule. Do approvers apply it - between the posted coordinates of two caches? - or between the real hiding places of the final caches? - or between any hidden objects? - or? Thanks! Quote
SBPhishy Posted February 22, 2004 Posted February 22, 2004 (edited) - between the posted coordinates of two caches? if they are the actual coords of the hidden cache, yes. - or between the real hiding places of the final caches? yes - or between any hidden objects? yes... if they are a cache. I guess my answers could be different specifically for multis, or puzzle caches. for any leg of a multi, the approver for my area told me (thru emails) that the leg of a multi, could be closer than .10 to another existing cache. The final cache of the multi shouldnt be close to another existing cache. The posted coords have nothing to do with it, if there is nothing actually hidden at those coords. If they are for a puzzle cache, and they dont bring you to a cache, then they can be as close as they want. All of these answers are correct I think. But, anyone feel free to correct me.
