Archiving Event Caches?

I know this is probably a newbie question, but after I've had an event and everyone that attended has logged it. Now what? Do I archive it or disable it? If so, will it always be on the cache page with a line through it?

Archive. Yes, archiving is the only way to get it off the search lists permanently.

But give the cachers some time to log the find. Some folks forget or are just to tired at the end of the day to log it right away, and if you archive it they would have a harder time finding the page.

You could temporarily disable it for the first week, with a note saying that you will archive it at the end of the week.

I archive my events about 4-6 weeks after the event. I like to give everyone time to log. Even though they can log an archived cache, archiving makes it a little harder to find the page.

I wait 2-3 days unless someone came from way out of town, but that's usually enough time to log it for everyone. We had an event yesterday and all but 4 have logged it already.

I'd give a week or so, then definately archive. Nobody wants to look at a already over event on their nearest cache page forever, because the owner simply "temporarily disabled" it.
