+dhenninger
I am still rather new to this, but after finishing a projected cache yesterday, i would like to set up one of my own. First Question, how far apart is acceptable for the stages of a multi cache? (across a park, across town, across the state) Second Question, what is the most accurate way to determine bearing and distance? (just use the gps or some calculation based on the two points) Finally any ideas for making a cache of this type more challenging. Thank you all for any info!!! Quote Link to comment
+woof n lulu
Hello and welcome to Geocaching. You might try the Getting Started forum for information on these questions under Groundspeak Forums. Most of your questions can be answered there. Quote Link to comment
+The Cheeseheads
There is no official limit on the distance between multicache stages, but for projecting waypoints, I would suspect that the farther the distance, the less accurate the projection will be, as most GPSrs limit you to whole degrees for the compass. Being off even a half a degree over a long enough distance could put you hundreds of feet away from the cache. Quote Link to comment
