I spoke to Garmin - they would not confirm that it would be added to a future firmware update. I was pretty surprised to see this feature was missing. Could this be one of the future features limited to the GPSV (GPSVI!!!) line? What do you guys think? Quote Link to comment
+Insp Gadget Posted February 8, 2004 Share Posted February 8, 2004 I had a V for sometime and never once used the Detour feature. I don't miss it at all on my 60C and would not care to have it. I found if there was a need to detour, the unit would do it automatically after I left the desired route. $.02 Quote Link to comment

You have to page to that funky direction screen listing all the turns and times and then select menu and detour and other options pop up. I tried it the other night and could have used it a few times in the past. I'd like to see it added to my 60C. Quote Link to comment

You can route with vias on the 60c...make sure your routing preference is set to prompted or follow roads method. Go to "Routes" under the main menu. Create a route with all of your required via points and push the "Navigate" button at the bottom of the screen. It couldn't be easier. Quote Link to comment
