+Rosco Bookbinder Posted February 8, 2004 Posted February 8, 2004 (edited) When I try to download, I always get .loc format. I see where I can select .gpx format, but where do I select MobiPocket format? Sorry, premium membership only. From the web site........ eBook - As a Premium Member you can also choose to have a list of waypoints compiled into MobiPocket eBook format. This format contains all the information from the cache details page There are ways to use the .loc files on your PDA, it just depends on what you have and what you want to do. Clue us in..... There is GSAK (desktop) for management of the files and GPXSonar (PDA PPC 2002 or better) for viewing for two of the choices. Edited February 8, 2004 by Rosco Bookbinder Quote
+Stunod Posted February 8, 2004 Posted February 8, 2004 Sorry, premium membership only. Click on their profile...they are premium members. As for the original question: just below where you select loc or gpx is a checkbox which reads "Also eBook Format (for handheld devices)" Quote

+Lone Duck Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 When you build the query, be sure to select the ebook format at the bottom of the options, right above the Submit Information button. And be sure to checkmark the box for Compress files or it will probably be corrupted when you try to open it. Quote
+Rosco Bookbinder Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 where do I select MobiPocket format? With MobiPocket reader being so suckey, why are you using it? We have lots of options for you if you have the time..... Quote
+egp Posted February 9, 2004 Author Posted February 9, 2004 You guys don't have to argue over whether or not I'm a preium member - I actually do know that. My question was in fact answered, that I can check the box before I submit on the query page. Thanks for all who responded. Quote
+egp Posted February 9, 2004 Author Posted February 9, 2004 I use a Rino 120 for navigation, and I have a Sony Clie SJ33 (Palm OS) for data storage. I'll investigate the various programs. Thanks again y'all Quote

We weren't arguing over the fact that you are in deed a premium member, we were mearly trying to point out that you spent good money on something that you didn't know you had. You know, like when you pull a pair of pants out of the closet you only wore one time and you find a five dollar bill in the pocket you left there last time. Quote

+-=(GEO)=- Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 egp... Do yourself a favor and use CacheMate instead of the MobiPocket reader. Regards, Fabien. Quote
