+JeepCruzer Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 (edited) For some time we have thought that it would be so much fun to have an icon of some sort next to a username that gives a quick indicator of what milestones a cacher has reached in regard to number of caches found (a-la eBay comments indicator) A star for ten, a compass for twenty, a GPSr for 100 etc. Perhaps you've heard this suggestion before, but we thought it had enough merit to share it one way or the other. +flask Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 i would like my icon to represent that i have found one only. if i have to falsify my logs to accomplish that, i will.
Deego Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 Nice idea. Doubt it will happen though. But have seen some good changes as of late so fingers crossed

+Team GPSaxophone Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 Ha! It's hard enough to get stats listed, what makes you think they'll add them to every post?
+dino_hunters Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 (edited) how about this http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=63613 Edited February 6, 2004 by dino_hunters
+gallahad Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 When you get to be my age, every cache is a milestone. There aren't enough icons in the world to renew it every time I find a cache. The "ego-con" icon is available (see above post) if anyone cares to use it on their own web site, and it might prove to be a suitable method for achieving the goal outlined in the topic of this thread. As the number changes within the graphic the milestone monitoring is substantially more accurate - whether you're proud to have just passsed one or on your way to achieve a new one.

+Team GPSaxophone Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 The only number that matters to me is this 5/5 that I want to make a road tip to... The inherent problem with stats....my 1/1 isn't good enough to count as a find
