I've not been at this very long, but I've already rediscovered a very beautiful old hiking path that I hadn't been to in years, since my last visit, an artist has carved faces into many of the rocks along the trail and it gives it a very whimsical feel, my kids loved it! These are in Huntington, WV.

There is nothing to give a sense of scale on that last one, but it is on a large boulder in a ravine and is at least 4 feet in diameter, pretty impressive. These three caches are along this trail: Tulip Tree Trail Trek, Forest Face, Deep Subject

Thanks for sharing all of you pics, too bad I didn't know about geocaching when driving around the beautiful desert near Phoenix, AZ last year :yikes:

we dont have much as far as "views" go....but we do have some! (for us city folk!)

and here's just a cool tree that my aunt and uncle decided to sit in!

The tree looks like what they call "An Indian Thong Tree". The Indians would tie saplings down to mark a trail.

It's time this thread had a bump...

I'm sure folks must have had plenty of Great Caching Views since last March!

Here's MrB in Cairo, demonstrating "What geocaching is and how it works" to a group of his 'students' ...

There is a cache near here on a bridge very similar to that one. I had to do a double take to see that it wasn't the same bridge.

It's called the Abandoned Bridge to NARA GC1X32K

Strange that there are no pictures on the cache logs.

This was going to be what I was going to add. I wholeheartedly agree. The best view I've seen is the smiling faces of all of my children doing something together and loving it.

Thanks for your pic!

The Green Lake in Tragöß, a municipality in the district of Bruck an der Mur in Styria, Austria

The lake dries out almost completely in the fall. In the spring the lake is filled with snow melt runoff. This gives the lake crystal clear water, the existing rocks and meadow give the lake its green color.

An interesting coincidence: I had never heard of this place until 3 weeks ago when a friend gave me this link to a video of some divers in the Green Lake.

Sometimes you have to look closely to see the beauty. We went on an ice walk today to find a cache on an island that is about 1/2 mile from shore. It was a beautiful day with plenty of opportunities to see beautiful scenery. But not all of the scenery involves looking into the distance.

This crack in the ice as about 3/4" wide and is unimpressive at first glance.

But if you look more closely you can see the crystals that have formed on the edges of the crack.

Hi!

Two more from Greece: The view from the two caches hidden in Meteora (GCGJ59 "Meteora" and my own GC123CO "Meteora Rocks"):

Meteora is one of the most amazing places on Earth I ever visited.

I took some fancy photos during my visit.

Yes... I wondered about that too.

Yeah, the cache is in Ecola State Park, and the cache owner was just making a funny play on that. :)

When my husband and I were discussing going to Ecola State Park, he said that sounded too much like E Coli. I laughed, and said that's exactly what the cache owner named the cache. B);)
