Of the closest 100 to my house:

 

3 Unfound - all of the same series of caches. I was waiting for the series to be completed before launching into them. (I have an excuse, really... )

 

12 of the closest 100 are my hides.

 

12.1 Miles to #100 - it happens to be my second find.

 

So that's like 97% found.

 

18 months ago, there weren't 100 caches within 100 miles of my house.

My stats.... 56 finds out of the nearest 100 (I did not count my two caches). Here's the break down:

 

Cache #1 is 0.2 miles away, cache #100 is 26.3 miles.

 

Finds:

44 regular

1 letterbox hybrid

 

Unfound:

37 regular (4 missing/disabled)

4 multi

3 virtual

We found 8 caches in the last 3 days, including some of the new ones that were placed. This changes our stats to:

10 unfound/closest 100 caches=90% found

100th cache 13.7 miles away.

 

Just out of curiosity, I checked the second 100 caches:

A paltry 19% found out of caches 101-200

#200 is 25.7 miles away.

 

Looks like we need to do some day-trips to get caches between 15 and 25 miles away from home.

17 to do within first 100, but only 5 that I plan to find.

Others are things like:

- about 40' up in a tree

- a web cam

- a 5/5 scuba-required dive

- on an island reachable only by $$$$ ferry

- down a ravine, not found in 6 months

Only 7.0 miles for the nearest hundred here.

Trees and other heights are no problem. We love those of that nature so much, we put one out! Wish there were more of a physcial nature around here.

 

We hate big money ferries, as well. Not to mention other caches reachable only by boat. Thus we picked up a used PWC! Can't wait until spring! We're surrounded by lots of water so the PWC will come in very handy!

OK, there is a new one about 25 miles away that I will have by about 7AM tomorrow morning. That one aside:

 

I have 100% of the nearest 567 caches. That goes out a radius of 35.9 miles.

 

Oh, maybe 10-15 of those are micros. No, "You find my 50, I'll find your 50" micro-spew around here.

68% of the nearest 100 found. (About 5 of the unfound are "temporarily" disabled.)

 

And the 100th cache is 38.6 miles from home.

You are truly amazing! I wish I had that much time (and that many caches) in my area!
