Mr. Beer
I am planning a group event for our Trail Blazers group (TB = a YMCA group of Fathers & Sons - age 11 to 15). We want to break our people into 4 smaller groups and go geochaching. We are in Irvine, California and we would like to do it somewhere in Orange County. If anyone has any ideas on how to do a group event, please share those ideas. Quote Link to comment
+Cherokeecacher
Oh, is this the “new and improved” Indian Guides? I would suggest the leaders picking a spot, any spot, and hiding 5 or so items for each of the smaller groups. Then give the waypoints to the smaller groups and set them free, with supervision of coarse, to go find their list of waypoints. You could even make it a competition by assigning point values to each item. Example: Red chips are worth 25 points; white chips are worth 15 points… Quote Link to comment
+skeeter-n-lucy
yah tah hey...I used to be an agent for a YMCA in Dallas. Out trailblazers were a pretty active group. Email me and Ill give you an idea what I am doing for a local Boy SCout troop this spring...The trailblazers are the kids too old for the IG/IP program. Not really sure what the Y calls it now..."Y-Guides"???? Quote Link to comment
