BeadBoy Posted February 2, 2004 Posted February 2, 2004 (edited) How (if there is a way) do you search for a player's profile from the main page? I can't figure out how to bring up a person's profile without having to spell it right in the find cache placed/found by player. Please tell me or Markwell me a link. If there is not a way the page needs a search (for player profile) engine that finds similarities e.g. mighty mouse when its really mighty_mouse. Edited February 2, 2004 by BeadBoy
Keystone Posted February 2, 2004 Posted February 2, 2004 If the person has registered in the forums, search the Member directory by clicking the link at the top right of the forum page. You don't need the exact name. If the person hasn't registered in the forums, go to your "My Cache Page" and select "E-mail a Player" from the menu at the right. Type in your best guess on the person's name. If there are multiple names that are really close, you'll be prompted to select the name you want. Then you can click on the person's profile to see if it's the right account.
+Sparky-Watts Posted February 2, 2004 Posted February 2, 2004 Cool! Thanks, Keystone for the answer, and Beadboy for the question! I was wondering the same thing just the other day!
+gallahad Posted February 3, 2004 Posted February 3, 2004 (edited) Wow!!! Thanks for the lead, Keystone. It's always great to learn creative new ways of using the vast number of files available on this site. I had been opening a "find" for a the user, then linking from that to the user page. The method you describe makes it much easier and allows for the inevitable misspelled name. Great tip. Edited February 3, 2004 by gallahad
+Renegade Knight Posted February 3, 2004 Posted February 3, 2004 Excellent. That's the first time I've herd a way to find a player with no finds and no forum posts. It worked.
