How Nice

Oh, yeah.....they're basically just trash to them. Most places keep them and send them off to be recycled. I used to be a semi-professional photographer and had thousands of them just lying around.

If you go to your local newspaper, or even to some photo shops, you can also get the bulk film cans from them. They are aluminum, and about 4" in diameter, same height as a film canister. Some have screw on lids and can be sealed with a gasket. Those would make nice mini caches!

I don't know much about "medium" format film, but I guess it is physically a little larger. Though not nearly as common as 34mm, I figured their cannisters would be handy to use, too, if you could find them?

Be careful what you ask for. I went to Costco, asked the man, who was very busy, if he had any. He handed me a big box of them and walked away. I took them to an event and said help yourself! I packed a bunch up with plastic bags and wrote CITO on them and put them in caches, I made a couple of micro caches, and basically I am set for life. DO YOU WANT ANY MORE!?<_<<_<
