Guest nascarfan
Am a newcomer looking for info. On the subject page, under the lefthand column "Date Listed", there is a blue/gold symbol, and mileage and compass direction listed under the date. What do they mean? Also, is there a key to the Difficulty/Terrain numbers listed on the right side of the page? Quote Link to comment
Guest Iron Chef
It just shows the distance and heading of the nearest caches from the cache that you were previously looking at. It is just a nice little feature to help you plan geocaching trips. ------------------ -Iron Chef _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ agefive.com/geocache/ ~ Fe-26 Lets Drive Fast and Eat Cheese! Mileage and compass direction are just for reference and are based from the post office for your zip code. The Difficulty and Terrain ratings are not standardized at this time, so right now, they are very subjective. We have been discussing this issue here in the forums. You can read those posts here and here. By the way, you can see what the cache icons mean by going here. This page is accessible by clicking on the icons from any cache listing page. Take care, and welcome! brokenwing Quote Link to comment
