+Criminal Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 I may be able to lay my hands on about 20 ammo cans on Monday. If the past is any indicator, they will be in excellent shape. I don't need and can't store 20 cans though. I can possibly hide a few here and there and post the coordinates. Stay tuned! Quote
+Wander Lost Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 We're always intrested in a few extra Ammo cans. If you want drop a few by Grave Robber. Quote
+GEM's Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 You could drop a few for me too Criminal. Otherwise just fill em all up a create 20 more night caches...I love those too. Quote
+Team GPSaxophone Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 Hmmm....just put all 20 of them under a tree. Leave a logbook in one and submit it as a cache. The first 19 finders should leave something and take an ammo can. Quote
+Ajetpilot Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 I've always been interested in nice cans! I've been paying $6.50 a pop for mine. Please advise. Quote
+Bull Moose Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 I'd be interested in picking up a few, too. Quote
+Lazyboy & Mitey Mite Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 Ammo boxes rule! Yes they do. I hate it when I lose one of those. They'll last for years. Quote

+DustyJacket Posted January 31, 2004 Posted January 31, 2004 Drop spme off here at KC. I am on my last 3 cans. Quote
+Criminal Posted February 3, 2004 Author Posted February 3, 2004 OK, I got 18 total, all perfect. No rust, dents, or even scratches. I've dropped three at Night Cache Mission Three. They are at the first reflectors, behind the fir tree. I'll drop a few more in Tacoma tomorrow at lunch. Cross your fingers, this seems like a renewable resource. Might be able to get another handful next month. If you grab one (or more) post it here so that nobody drives way out of their way. Quote

+Perrin Posted February 3, 2004 Posted February 3, 2004 Thanks a lot for doing all this Criminal! Faile and I stopped by the night cache 3 location and grabbed two of the cans. Boy do they look nice Got a cache that would like an upgrade and we have an idea for a new cache. These are just what we needed. We also left a little surprise in the last can for who ever gets there to pick it up. Don't worry, it's a good thing! Thanks again Quote
+Duck-n-Deedy Posted February 3, 2004 Posted February 3, 2004 Are you sure you dont want to send some of those to southern Oregon. Well if you get too may I have a pickup and will travel for the right number Quote

+Duck-n-Deedy Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 If I get any I would deliver don't need to much of a reason to head to Reno. There are caches there I need to find. Besides I need to use up some of my timeshare time Quote

+Criminal Posted February 4, 2004 Author Posted February 4, 2004 The three cans at N 47° 11.677 W 122° 27.581 remain. I'll be pulling them up tomorrow to prevent any muggles from finding them and calling the bomb squad. dadgum, I can't give these things away! Quote
MarcusArelius Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 Can't give them away???? Man bring them to a WSGA meeting, they'll be gone in a flash. Maybe you could donate them as door prises or something. Quote

Maybe you could donate them as door prises or something. I spend way too much time on the highways commuting between the Harbor and the Base, you ain't getting me back on them to drive north to any meeting. (We asked for the meetings to rotate once and a while but it was shot down.) The three in Tacoma are right off the 72nd street exit, easy to get to. Quote

(We asked for the meetings to rotate once and a while but it was shot down.) The three in Tacoma are right off the 72nd street exit, easy to get to. The Puget Sound chapter meetings are rotating, so they do move around the area. I'm not setting those up any more, but last fall we held meetings in Federal Way, Redmond, and Everett. By the way, the people who volunteered to set up the meetings this year are Pepper, Janet, and Paul (aka Wander Lost, Team Supergenius, and RightWingWacko). It's a much tougher job than it seems -- it's hard to find free venues for groups of about 60 people. And....if you'd like one to be even further south or over in Gig Harbor, perhaps someone in that area would volunteer to help. It takes a local to find a spot for getting together! Cin Quote
+Wander Lost Posted February 5, 2004 Posted February 5, 2004 We have those cans. MG1 just picked them up. We're going to keep one but the other two are up for grabs. Just come on down to grave robber and we'll have them near by. Quote

+Wander Lost Posted February 5, 2004 Posted February 5, 2004 Misguided One is going to put one of the ammo cans out by Grave Robber in the morning. It will be the one without the geocaching.com label. We'll bring the other one to the event on Sunday if anyone from up north want's it. Quote
+Perrin Posted February 5, 2004 Posted February 5, 2004 Well seeing how you are having such a hard time giving those sweet cans of yours away, I stopped by and grabbed the last one from the start of your Night cache 3. I hope no one else was heading out there around mid night like me I guess I'll have to get serious about the various cache ideas I've been kicking around with Faile and actually put them out there. Well if you get too may I have a pickup and will travel for the right number Hurry, not many left Well that should take care of the first six. I have another six to drop, but this time I'll wait until someone actually is willing to go get one or two. Drop me an email with how many you want and which side of the narrows you would prefer. MarcusArelius Posted February 5, 2004 Posted February 5, 2004 Hey Criminal you indicated you might be hooked into a renewable resource. If you get another batch I'll vounteer to pick up the lot and sprinkle them around the Eastside. Quote
+Criminal Posted February 5, 2004 Author Posted February 5, 2004 I think I might create a cache of cache containers. I'll call it "The Cache Cache". People are free to take a cache container - leave a cache container. They can also leave anything else or nothing. I just have to find a place that's remote enough to "hide" half a dozen 50mm ammo cans. Quote

+Bufford Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 I've heard a rumor that Lazyboy has partners in crime. One likes to crow at dawn so you know he'll be up early. Another can do no wrong, he's 12' tall and has a badge. The last the last is a devious little b*&^$%rd. So put 'em out and let's see just how long they last. Quote
