I cannot see how one goes from the forums to my page, such as to get to pocket queries. Seems like I have to go all the way out and then enter geocaching.com again and log in.

At the top left just below the Groundspeak logo there is a link that says "Visit Geocaching.com". You can click that and you will go to the main GC.com front page. From there you can select "My Cache Page" from the left navigation menu.

Is that what you were looking for?

I start at "My page" - Then Right click the "discuss geocaching" and "open in new window" Then I have them both open.

If you use Netscape (7+) "Open Link in New Tab" is also an option

I had a hint a while back from....someone... on these forums that I have found to be just the ticket. Go to "my cache page" & then click 'favorites' & 'add'. Then go to the forums & do the same thing. Then you can click on 'organize' in your 'favorites' & make a new folder to hold any of the places you just saved. Wah-lal! Now it is easy to go back & forth without ever having to log in. We also have the 'Groundspeak CACHE LOGS - gallery', 'NGS Datasheet', 'Locationless Cache Checklist', 'Benchmark hunting' & Buxley's all in our little folder titled ' geocaching.

By the way...Thank you VERY much to whomever you are for that very useful hint.

In addition to this hint, you might keep 2 browsers open at once, this allows you to move quickly to more sited.

Wah-lal!

It's voila.

I knew that one would be coming... c'mon, let's not pick on people who are trying to be helpful.

I wasn't picking, just correcting. I appreciate Shirley's post as well. Maybe we both learned something ;)

Wah-lal!

It's voila.

Wah

n. 1. (Zoöl.) The panda.

Lah [n] the syllable naming the sixth (submediant) note of a major or minor scale in solmization

Clearly 2oldfarts was referring to the ancient pagan panda dance, Wah-Lah. Over time the dance and song themselves have been lost to history but the term lives on today. The expression, while not widely known is synonymous with "Eureka!".

I've got gc.com bookmarked, so when I'm in the forums, I just open a new tab (I use Netscape) and open it from the bookmark. Then I have two tabs in the same browser that I can switch back and forth. I've had as many as 7 tabs open in the same browser, and haven't had any problem with them....wonder how many I could open in one browser? Hmmmmm.........

thats how I used to do it. Also with IE 5 and a broadband connection I have had well over 30 browser windows open. The only effect having this many had was using most of my 300+MB of memory and making my 300k cable internet seam like 28.8k dialup

You mean you don't have GC.com as your Home page? And you call yourself a geocacher.

I just hit "Home from anywhere on the Web and VOILA I'm back at My Cache Page.

Yep, adding the pages to your "favorites" in your browser is the way to go. Iff you click on tools, then properties, you can set a homepage. I have the "searching all caches" page for my state set as my home page. This way, whenever I open my browser I can immediately see if any new caches have appeared since the last time I was online.

Or-derv anyone?

OR [n] a room in a hospital equipped for the performance of surgical operations

DERV [n] (British) diesel oil used in cars and lorries with diesel engines.

So by or-derv you meant OR minus Derv? A Surgical room vacant of Brittish Diesel fuel.

Uh sure.
