+Crouching Hiker, Hidden Cache
Does anyone have contacts within the FDNY, perhaps a family member or friend of a friend? I have come upon a travelling memoir originated by some kind cachers in Nevada who sent out "craps travel dice" after 9/11/01, destined for NYC. The memoir includes a few pages (8 signatures total) of sentiments from cachers who helped pass it along from NV to NY. Since I'm in NYC, its officially reached its destination. I contacted the originators who were hoping I could get it to the FDNY. I figured it would be nice for someone with actual connections to get it to one of the local ladders. Appreciate any response. Thanks. -- Crouching Hiker Edited January 28, 2004 by Crouching Hiker, Hidden Cache Quote Link to comment

I assume that this is not an official travel bug? Quote Link to comment
+Crouching Hiker, Hidden Cache
Correct, not an official travel bug, a very thoughtful idea though. Quote Link to comment
ucmike
most of the firehouses i've passed by seem to have/had an open door policy for well wishers and gift givers. if no on helps out i'm sure that you could just drop by one of the houses. Quote Link to comment
+Barefoot
If you are in NYC knock on the nearest station door, ask the same question you will get the best and most direct answer. If help is still needed I have a cousin stationed E-236. I'm onna job in CT and will help. Remember Brian Sweeney Quote Link to comment
+Harrald
Wait a few days here. There are at least two cachers in this area that are in the NYcFire Dept. There are also at least 6 NYc Police officers that cache. Quote Link to comment
+Crouching Hiker, Hidden Cache
Thanks for the replies! That would be ideal if an actual FDNY cacher were around... Quote Link to comment
Poppa Duck
Being in a volunteer rescue squad, I've got some connections to the FDNY/EMS division. If no-one steps up I could help out that way. Also I haven't seen / heard FDNY260 on the boards recently, but he is an active FDNY firefighter. -PD Quote Link to comment
