+Tankengine
Looking at some of the members in my area, I notice a few different types. There are "Active Users", "Charter members" and "Premium members". Maybe there are more. - I realise that Premium Members have paid the subscription fee, but what is the difference from that to a Charter member? ThomasS. Link to comment
+Divine
I realise that Premium Members have paid the subscription fee, but what is the difference from that to a Charter member? Charter members paid their subscription fee during the first year when Gc.com started selling enhanced memberships. Those subscribers after the first year got Premium member as their title. AFAIK, there's no other feature differences between charters and premiums than the title. Link to comment
+Tankengine
Ahhh - that makes sense! - Thanks. Link to comment
+sbell111
Sometimes 'Premium' members were also 'Charter' members. I had charter member sttus until a few months ago. At that time, I had to re-enter my confirmation number to show as a member. Ever since, I've been a premium member. Link to comment
+pdxmarathonman
I lost Charter status during a renewal glitch. Send email to TPTB and I bet they'll re-Charter you. Jeremy did it for me and a few others when it happened. Link to comment

+Blaidd-Drwg
I was in Kuwait when my charter membership expired and my wife forgot to send the check, like I asked. I sent an email asking if my charter status could be reinstated along with my payment and they did. Many thanks. Link to comment

Cholo
Sometimes 'Premium' members were also 'Charter' members. The most exclusive are the "hooters". Their join date was in the y2k (remember the paranoia?). That won't be available until 2100. Look at the "00" at the end of Jeremy's join date. Link to comment

+Divine
Pointing somewhere around the topic, I'll take the opportunity to kindly ask the status of credit card acceptance for membership renewals. My premium membership expiration day is approaching, and PayPal & I don't play together any more. Link to comment

+TrailToad
Where do you go, to find out your renewal date, before it expires? OR, do you get an e-mail to remind you to make your payment? THANKS in advance. Link to comment
Jeremy
Where do you go, to find out your renewal date, before it expires? OR, do you get an e-mail to remind you to make your payment? THANKS in advance. The new subscriber page (once it is up) will list that info. In the meantime you can visit your paypal account and look up the subscriber info to see your renewal date. However, we do send out an automated email when your membership is about to expire. You'll get one 30 days before it expires, and again 15 days before it expires if you do not renew. Link to comment
