Family Fun magazine.... guess what!

Okay, so I was at my friend's house and looking through her family fun magazine when there was this article on some New England treasure hunting thing (Questing) and I was kinda reading it because, well, you know, I'm a geocacher, when this funny looking green box caught my eye. What did it happen to say? Well.....

I've scanned it... unfortunately, this is all it said, but at least they said something, right?

Not sure if the picture will show up here or not...

This seems like another article where geocaching is slightly misrepresented. How often does anyone here walk away with pyrite or a digital watch (or at least one that's not broken) but I guess some incorrect publicity is better than no publicity at all...

Extra batteries for GPS, don't leave home without 'em.

Probably the editor wouldn't let them print "Find some dadgum broken McToy or other crap." icon_frown.gif

You have the right to defend yourself, even when geocaching!

I guess you can say I've found a few digital watches before. Technically the only requirement for a digital watch is to have a numeric display not the analog dial. Even Mctoys sometimes are "digital watches".

I've seen both pyrite (iron pyrite, aka "fools gold") and good digital watches in caches.

I have put gold ore in some of mine..............as well as some other valuable junk as some would call it,If you do not know what ore you are looking at you might just pass it off as another rock he he ok with me.
