the 5 little bears
I was thinking of setting up a cache for trading used dvd movies.I would start it out with like 10 of my dvd's and hopefully people would trade the ones they saw for ones they had not.Has this been done before and if so,did it work out? What do you think of this.Would you trade some of yours? Quote Link to comment
CacheCreatures
Haven't seen a specific DVD cache, however I have seen a CD trading cache. Seems to be a pretty neat idea, however if I had to guess, you're going to end up with the DVD's no one really wants. Quote Link to comment
Johnnie Stalkers
Yes I would. Our newest cache happens to have a DVD in it. I do not however expect an equal trade for it, we just wanted to put some good items in there to start with. An advertised, here is what DVDs are there, with a log history of trades could work. My only concern would be someone building a DVD collection by swiping your cache. IF that happened you would have to start over, which could get expensive quick. Quote Link to comment
Renegade Knight
Here is a DVD cache. Tacomahunter is a friendly sort and if you emailed him I'm sure he'd tell you straight out his experience with the cache. Quote Link to comment
ChrisCindy
Soup Nazi's DVD Cache is a DVD swap cache here in the Memphis area. You gotta love a cache that involves a swamp. Quote Link to comment
TeamK-9
I'd say it's a great idea, but maybe not hide it in a park and grab area, and make it hard... Very hard... That'll keep it from getting muggled, and will discouraged DVD stealing geocachers... Quote Link to comment
hedberg
I will not say which cache, but we have found a cache that says on the cache page that only PIRATE CDs shall be placed in the cache... Soon will there most probably be a cache where you shall put your own burned DVDs... Quote Link to comment
rover-r-us
i like the idea .we have a n64 cache here and it works some what good. Quote Link to comment
geoguyver
There is a cache in Las Vegas, it asks for only really bad movies. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...c9-0b858b2869e1 I like your idea! Quote Link to comment
OzGuff
There is a cache called Yee-ha! Gui-tar! in Tamworth, New South Wales, Australia that asks you to bring your worst music CD to swap. Tamworth is the home of Australian country music so I would expect a lot of country (and western) music CDs in the cache! (Note: I have never been to this cache but am pretty sure it is in Tamworth. It is definitely in New South Wales, Australia!) Quote Link to comment
