However... we'd better get this thread back on track and close this discussion (sorry, I don't know how to say that without adding one more off-topic post to the thread). Quote Link to comment

GOF and Bacall
I was gonna hide it in the wild but didn't want it to disappear. I didn't have anyplace within maintenance range that I felt comfort with. So I guess I'll just have to drag it to events. Quote Link to comment

+kunarion
Some ideas for juice bottle preforms. These hold maybe as much as a 35mm film canister would, but with the cap at a 2" diameter, you might fit a good sized Geocoin in it. Fake leaves glued on: Heavy camo (looks a little gross to me): Magnetic, could be good as a red or yellow "light": Pipe "fixture": It would also be great if these were "formed" into a slightly longer straight-sided bottle. That could replace a lot of film cans. Edited October 5, 2011 by kunarion Quote Link to comment

+Bad Duck
Easy to make cache container. If you like the bottle preforms these are just as good. Start with a couple bottles. I prefer the largest mouthed gatorade I can get. Cut them off right below the lip under the lid. Quote Link to comment
+Bad Duck
Then sand flat to the lip. Edited October 9, 2011 by Bad Duck Quote Link to comment
+Bad Duck
Remove the overhang from the inside lip. Quote Link to comment
+Bad Duck
Because glue rarely holds anything plastic I weld them together. Using a cheap soldering iron I melt the two lips together forming a water tight seal that I have yet to be able to break back apart. Run the iron fast enough to melt the plastic but not burn it. Do this in a well ventilated area. Quote Link to comment
+Bad Duck
Fully welded together. Quote Link to comment
