+qhtxvckfkfl
The mysterious "Q" it seems it visiting geocaches in the deep south, finding geocaches, not signing any log books, and then putting huge amounts of $$$ into the caches.... Quote Link to comment
+briansnat
If he doesn't sign the logbook, then now do you know his name is "Q"? But if Q is doing this, I invite him (or her) to NJ to find a few of my caches . Quote Link to comment
+qhtxvckfkfl
I know about Q from another site---the Letterboxing Site in which I saw 2 other people discussing it. Quote Link to comment
+Halden
Is it Q from Star trek? Let Q know that if he is Ottawa he can drop some dollars in my cache anytime. Has anyone ever seen Bill gates and Q in the same room? Quote Link to comment
+OurWoods
how much money? and which caches has he "reverse plundered" so far? I may need to be taking a road trip to south florida.. Quote Link to comment

TNLN Went out to dinner at a 4 star restaurant and then for a 2 week Hawaiian Vacation. Or not.. Seriously though, if someone found $1k in a cache I doubt they log it... I found $20 in a park while DNF'ing a cache last week and I was happy. I can't imagine finding a couple hundred or more Quote Link to comment

umc
1K-10K in a cache is hard to believe, have you found any of these caches or how did you find out about this rumor? Quote Link to comment

+briansnat
I know that team in the Vancouver area has been putting together caches with hundreds, if not thousands of dollars worth of stuff, but for someone who comes by and just dumps off a couple grand....hmmmm. BTW, how do you "trade up"? And from a personal standpoint, if you found 10 grand in a cache, would you take it all, or some? Upon thinking this over, I think I may take half, or most, and leave a good chunk of change for the next finders....but I'll make sure I'd leave some really nice item in return. Heck, maybe even my GPS. Quote Link to comment

The amount he gives away is stunning. Quote Link to comment

+wimseyguy
Would someone please tell me how to invite 'Q' to our next event cache. It's called Showmedamoney cache. On a more serious note-I have catered for some very rich people; private planes, yachts, multiple homes etc. Fitzgerald is right-they are different than you and me. They are all very generous with charitable giving, most have worked their a** off the get there and don't mind sharing what it can buy, but I cannot imagine any of them just leaving large bills behind in a cache. Seriuos side off now: Hey wait a minute-none of them know about geocaching, yeaa that's the ticket-I need to take them on a hike. edit to add serious note Edited January 12, 2004 by wimseyguy Quote Link to comment

If she does I sure hope she doesn't know what trading down means. I'm still curious where this rumor started.. Quote Link to comment
+Imajika
It could have been her. Well, maybe not. It seems she only like to lay around in bed, ask a lot of questions and leave quarters in the 'state quarters' caches. Never mind... Quote Link to comment
2oldfarts (the rockhounders)
Our reply....if true.....DO NOT DEPOSIT ANY LARGE AMOUNTS INTO THE BANK! The law requires the bank to report any large sums as possible drug money. (This was a little tidbit told to us by someone who likes to gamble in Vegas...in case we ever hit it big in Vegas ourselves). Just be happy, Spend it all...little by little. ~Shirley & John~ Quote Link to comment

+wildearth2001
Hope this becomes a popular twist to the game. But how would you trade up or even for the $? You could take money leave JEEP (or Hummer)! Or if he didn't sign the logbook and write about putting in the $ you can just take it because it wasn't ever "officially" there. Nobody but you and him would ever know , well your neighbor might when you get the new car but thats beside the point Quote Link to comment
+wildearth2001
Hey....what if Q is someone like Bill Gates, that has BILLIONS of dollars to give away...? Yeah it would be nice if he cached because the guildlines sat, if i remember right, something like "if you are a billionare we expect you to spend a lot of $ on caches (and we could assume trade items as well) Quote Link to comment
