All units are shipped WITH batteries and you can order some cool Geocaching goodies from them as they are the Canadian retailer for Groundspeak. Best thing to do is get a unit that comes with a pc cable for downloading directly to the unit. As for the best unit, I personally love Garmin and my Garmin Venture but would love to get a Legend or one of the new GPSMap 60 series units. Binrat Quote Link to comment
