What Hazards Do You Have In Your State/country?

Alligator lizards... (I know they aren't poisonous, but let one latch onto you.)

As a boy growing up in SoCal, I can confirm the orneriness of alligator lizards.

In Southern California:

On the roads and freeways: killer traffic that kills (accidents caused by people who don't know how to drive....co-worker just was in an accident where 6 people died...she lived, car upside down in the opposite lanes of the freeway), stray bullets (I know of three people who have had bullets enter their car, including my uncle....bullet through back door about a foot behind driver seat)

 

Kind of makes me glad I live in safe, old New Jersey.

And a major contributing factor to my move from SoCal to reptile-challenged western Washington in 1991.

OK so some of you guys out there have a few minor hazards. Here in Western France we have a hazard that can lead to a slow lingering death and it's BOREDOM.

through lack of caches, otherwise nothing of any interest.

Mountain Lion Kill in Southern California

In my Dec 30 post to this topic I mentioned this as being a hazard here and I don't think too many people thought I was being serious.
