TimSkells Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 I am 15 is any one else younger here? in their teens? Quote
+Team GPSaxophone Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 There are a few in here who are 'your age' or so, I think there was a thread about this very same thing jsut a few weeks ago. There's nothing wrong with asking questions here, you have been polite in the posts I've read so far. You seem to have a lot of questions (which isn't bad), but we do have a search feature available that might help you get some answers. Quote
+Enspyer Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 I'm 13. There was just recently a topic asking if there were any kids, and there are few replys there. Quote

+Johnnie Stalkers Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 I beleive there are some 40 year old teenagers in the room. By all means, make yourself at home. Quote
+Sparky-Watts Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 You're only as young as you smell. Quote
+carleenp Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 (edited) Hi! Welcome aboard. There are some younger cachers that post here, but I don't think alot of them. As for me, I'm 36, but often get accused of being a child! Edited December 28, 2003 by carleenp Quote
inventorjg Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 My friend(16) and I(17) go geocaching all the time, I think it is good there are teens, becuase it gets us off the computer and out into the outdoors. -inventorjg Quote
mufasa1023 Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 I just turned 22.....geez am I really that old? Sure dont feel like it! Geocaching sure helped keep the exercise level up during college anyhow! Quote
+pnew Posted December 28, 2003 Posted December 28, 2003 I started geocaching this past summer at 19... but then I had a birthday... Quote

+JMBella Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 Any One Not An Adult Here? Is anybody an adult here? Quote
+robert Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 I'm only 11, but don't look a day over 10. And there's a picture of him on the first page of his website. Quote

+TeamK-9 Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 I'm fourteen and am actually the primary counterpart of my team, I got my parents into caching, and not the other way around... Quote
+wray_clan Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 Personally, I think it would be great if one least one topic about kid posters could be kept on topic. I'm a 'tweener. I usually log and print out caches. I've done more than you might think, as I have been selected to be a US Ambassador overseas (more here). Kids cachers, unite! (or at least post on this thread ) Quote
geoladybug Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 Im 13 and this is my own account so i think that answers your question. Quote
TimSkells Posted December 29, 2003 Author Posted December 29, 2003 suggested reading i posted on this topic to get it ineffect that we get a kids forum and u all should too Quote
+TeamK-9 Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 You have to notice that there are many younger users on this board. (Me being one of them.) It's just many people like myself never mention their age, not out of security reasons but because it never really comes up, but seriously, I think having our own area might be a cool idea... Quote
+Sparky-Watts Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 I've noticed a lot of younger cachers in the forums, and for the most part they are a good bunch, kind, respectful, and intelligent. I've enjoyed talking with most of them, but unfortunately there are a few that have rubbed some people the wrong way....but, hey, there are a lot of adults that have done that too! I was amazed at the number of younger people that are into caching, though I guess I shouldn't be. When I was a senior in high school, the school bought a computer. I think it had an 8 meg harddrive! I never knew what a computer looked like till I was out on my own for a long time. Nowadays, kids are using computers as soon as they are learning to talk, so I guess using GPSr's wouldn't be any different. Quote

+leatherman Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 I'm 36, but often get accused of being a child! Sure you are. You look like your still in High school. That's your moms car, isn't it? Quote
+sea_dragon Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 Well, this thread has certianly made my day! I always thought that I'm one of the 'pups' roundabout these parts, one of the youngin's (which gets a tad old @23). To all the "juvinile" cachers out there: Rock on!! Cache long and prosper. Quote
+carleenp Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 Sure you are. You look like your still in High school. That's your moms car, isn't it? Well, I guess now it might be since my parents paid it off as my X-mas gift! And I guess the high school look thing might be right, because I am constantly carded, especially if I don't wear makeup (which is usually)! I won't complain, and believe it or not, I have some gray hair! Quote

I've got some gray hair as well, though it's not as noticeable mixed with the red hair. I'd rather have gray hair than no hair, but I think the latter is going to come first! Quote

She is going to Australia in July. Where are you heading off to? Sorry to derail the topic for a moment. I'm 30. Pan Quote

+boulist44 Posted December 29, 2003 Posted December 29, 2003 Yes! I'm 67 and don't look a day over 70. OK I'm not young but I've introduced my grandchildren to this fantastic pastime. They enjoy every second, since it's my GPS they all use. Well you can't win them all. Good luck kids get out and enjoy. Quote
