+Dan-oh
Based on last year, do you expect new cachers with new Christmas GPSr units? How many do you expect to stay on? Not that I'm so different with my birthday GPSr... Quote Link to comment
+Team GPSaxophone
I expect quite a few this year, but they'll be turned off by the inconsistent mod.. er, Yeah there will be several new people coming in later this week. Can we turn off email notification on our caches? Quote Link to comment
+Jamie Z
I know I am. Bring on the hampsters. There was lots of talk last time about this year, but I didn't think there'd be that many new folks, but there were lots. The weeks after christmas, there were lots and lots of forum posts from new cachers. I'm convinced. Jamie Quote Link to comment
+Halden
I am an almost Christmas Newbie. got and eTrex Legend for my Birthday on the 16th. Found a couple and have a ton lined up for my 2 weeks off beginning Wednesday. I don't forsee giving it up but I am sure there are plenty that may begin and not get hooked. Quote Link to comment

I got mine on my birthday December 10. I can't see myself giving it up. That is unless something drastic happens to caching. Something like it being outlawed might do it, but not sure about that. +bigredmed
My brother in law and my niece enjoyed trying it back home, so we are giving them an Etrex. We will see how they like it. Quote Link to comment
+Staos
I'm a christmas cacher myself. Got a gps for last year's christmas. Quote Link to comment
+wray_clan
Got our GPS from eBay, obviously not at Christmas. I think that there'll be a whole lot of new tadoples, esp. with the Forum Christmas Convention on the 26th. Quote Link to comment
+DomHeknows
i got mine as an early christmas present three weeks ago :-) Really enjoying it although i think reading the forums beforehand would have put me off the hobby with a lot of the complaining that goes on. Quote Link to comment
+Team Encore
I got the GPS for my husband for Christmas four years ago. It was a handy item to have for tracking, if you know what I mean. After the divorce, I took it because it seemed as though it would come in handy for some good purpose someday, and then I found geocaching!! This sport is what you make of it, and I have chosen to make it an opportunity to enjoy the out doors with my son - the "complaining" on the boards can't take that away from me!!
